Board-certified in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine 

Kristina Kury M.D. is board-certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and is the Regional Medical Director for Sound Critical Care, East Bay, and the Medical Director for the Sutter Eden Medical Center ICU and Respiratory Departments.


Dr. Kury has over 20 years of experience in both pulmonary and critical care medicine and currently oversees the ICU programs at three Sutter sites in the SF Bay Area including Alta Bates Summit Medical Center campuses in both Oakland and Berkeley as well as the Sutter Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley.  Dr. Kury has extensive experience in the active management of complex patients with a wide variety of conditions including severe traumatic injury, acute cardiac care, acute neurosurgical care, acute stroke care as well as general medical/surgical conditions requiring ICU level of care.  In addition, Dr. Kury has more than 20 years of experience in outpatient pulmonary practice as well as in-patient acute pulmonary medicine.
