Michelle Curry is a specialist in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine. She practices in Santa Rosa and rural areas of northern California. She completed medical school at the University of Iowa and completed her residency and fellowship at the University of California San Francisco in 2021. During her time there, she was involved with the Anesthesia Division of Global Health Equity, whose aim is to improve access to safe anesthesia care worldwide through education, research, and policy. Having completed a fellowship during the coronavirus epidemic, she is an expert in critical care management of COVID and other forms of respiratory failure. She also serves as Respiratory Therapy Medical Director at Sutter Lakeside Hospital. Her special interests include quality improvement, perioperative management of patients with opioid use disorder, improving rural critical care, advanced airway management, and improving the safety of anesthesia in resource-constrained areas.
