The Expert is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He was educated at the University of Missouri in Columbia and received his MD degree in 2009. He then completed residency training in orthopedic surgery at the University of Kansas. After residency, he underwent additional fellowship training in arthroscopy and sports medicine in San Diego, California.

As a fellow, he was fortunate to work with athletes at the professional, collegiate, and high school level. In his nearly 10 years in practice, he has gained extensive experience in the minimally invasive treatment of sports and work-related injuries of the shoulder and knee. He additionally cares for a variety of traumatic and general orthopedic conditions.

The Expert enjoys an active lifestyle of rock climbing, hiking, paddle boarding, cycling, and fitness training. His passion for being active drives his motivation for helping patients maintain their physical activity and recover from injury.

The Expert is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery. He practices at a leading spine center in Southern California and is recognized for his expertise in the Intracept procedure for vertebrogenic pain. He graduated with honors from Stanford University before earning his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. He later completed a combined orthopedic and neurosurgical spine fellowship at the University of Southern California Spine Center, developing advanced expertise in both surgical and nonsurgical treatment of adult cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine disorders. With eight years in practice, he performs more than 200 spine procedures annually.

The Expert is actively involved in advancing spine care through clinical research and has authored multiple book chapters and peer-reviewed publications on spine conditions and surgical techniques. He is a member of several leading professional organizations and has extensive medico-legal experience, having participated in 42 depositions and 4 trials.

 

He provides independent expert opinions for both plaintiff and defense attorneys on matters involving spine surgery standard of care, minimally invasive spine procedures, spinal fusion, disc replacement, decompression surgery, Intracept procedures, postoperative complications, delayed diagnosis, informed consent, workers' compensation, and personal injury and motor vehicle accident–related spine injuries. He is licensed in California and is available for expert witness engagements nationwide.

The Expert is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and fellowship-trained hand surgeon with more than 12 years of experience specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of hand, wrist, and elbow conditions. He has successfully performed over 1,000 upper extremity surgeries and serves as a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) in California, regularly evaluating workers' compensation, personal injury, and other complex upper extremity cases. His practice combines advanced surgical expertise with a comprehensive understanding of occupational, traumatic, and sports-related injuries.

He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan before obtaining his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery training at several prestigious institutions, including Wayne State University, William Beaumont Hospital, the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and Baylor College of Medicine. Practicing in Orange County, California, he cares for patients with workers' compensation, private insurance, and attorney-referred personal injury claims, while drawing on his athletic background to provide specialized insight into sports-related injuries.
